イリノイ州シカゴ拠点のインディーロックバンド Ax and the Hachetmenが、5/3にリリースしたニューシングル 'Flagstaff'を公開！
Ax and the Hachetmenは Axel Ellis, Sal Defilippis, Hunter Olshefke, Nick Deputy, Phil Pistone, Quinn Dolanの6人組。
2018年に音楽学校で出会い結成。2020年にデビューEP『Bear On The Roof』を発表し、今年は Shakey Knees, Lovin’ Life Music Fest, the Winnetka Music Festivalなどのフェスに出演する期待のニューカマーです。トランペットとサックスがレギュラーメンバーでいるのがいいね。
“This one is about friendship, love and the desire to feel alive. The guitar riff was written back in 2020, but it wasn’t until we had been on a couple tours together as a band that it felt time to write the song. ‘Flagstaff,’ in the song’s context, represents the youthful spirit of adventure and finding a home away from home, along with the idea that good friendships can make our lives worth living. It’s about choosing to surround yourself with the people you love and celebrating life together. It’s about embracing one another in a world that often feels more lonely than it needs to.
