カナダ/トロント拠点のフォークロックバンド Altamedaが、9/19にPheromone Recordingsからリリースするニューアルバム『Crazy Blue』より、先行シングル 'Faint Of Heart'を公開！
良い曲出してるなーってなんとなくチェックしていたところから、今作の先行シングルがどれも良くて一気に注目するようになったバンド。特に'Life Is A Desert'は名曲です。
今回は Big Star 'Thirteen'のような雰囲気を目指したという一曲。アコースティックの曲もいいね。
“Faint of Heart is a song about real love — not the falling part, but the staying part. It’s about finding someone who feels right and then realizing that being with them still takes work. Not because something’s broken, but because anything worth keeping asks something of you. Being close to someone means seeing them fully and letting them see you. That can be hard. It takes patience, it takes showing up even when you don’t feel like it, and it takes choosing to stay when walking away might be easier in the moment. The song is about staying soft in a world that keeps trying to harden you.”
