Nero's Day At Disneyland、'ØBabylon'を公開

カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス拠点のエレクトロニックプロデューサー Nero's Day At Disneylandが、8/5にリリースしたニューシングル 'ØBabylon'を公開！

Nero's Day At Disneylandは、Lauren Bousfieldによるプロジェクト。

'ØBabylon'は十数年振りの新曲で、10/16発売のEP『Grand Reopening』収録曲。

それまでの間は自身の名義で制作を続ける傍ら、映画・テレビ・ビデオゲームの作曲家・編曲家・サウンドデザイナーとしても精力的に活動してきました。

ジェットコースターのようにめまぐるしいシンセと乱打のブレイクビーツに身を委ねてどこへやら。

ちなみに、ブレイクコアとかその辺に疎い自分でも2009年発表『From Rotting Fantasylands』は好きだったので改めておすすめします。DEATHBYSHEEP RECORDSをチェックしてるような人たちには刺さるんじゃないかな。

'ØBabylon'は、恐怖やアメリカの崩壊というNero's Day at Disneylandの本質を凝縮したものです。プロジェクト全体がそうであるように、この曲も非常に伝統的なアメリカの要素を取り上げ、それを反転させています。今回の場合、それは入植者であるモルモン教徒のフォークソングです。名義を戻した理由の一つは、音楽に自分自身を介入させたくなかったからです。あらゆるものが機能不全で壊れている中で歌詞を書くこと自体が不可能に思えました。Nero's Day At Disneylandには'ローレン'という個人はいません。私はNero'sというマシーンのオペレーターに過ぎません。これは世界を見るための視点であり、個人ではないのです。
