Bea Stewart、'Out Of My Hands'のリリックビデオを公開

北アイルランド/ベルファスト拠点のシンガーソングライター Bea Stewartが、9/12にCartoon Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Out Of My Hands'のリリックビデオを公開！

ディレクターは Marieke Macklon。

これまでに Snow Patrol, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Kyle Lionhartと共演し、Eurosonic, Live at Leedsなどの主要フェスに出演し、数々のヘッドライン公演をソールドアウトさせてきた実力派。

'Out Of My Hands'は11/7発売のEP『Wish It Was You』収録曲。

プロデュースは Harri Chambers、ストリングスアレンジは Kirsty Mangan (Raye, Alt-J, David Gilmour)が担当。

ライブセッションシリーズ VOLTを手掛け、スタジオ ZigZagのオーナーとして The state51 Conspiracyの作品などでエンジニアを務めている Harri Chambersの仕事が好きで、新しいのをチェックしてたら耳に入ってきた歌。良い曲です。

“Out of My Hands was one of those rare songs that was so easy to write, it felt like it wrote itself. It came from a place of accepting that there are things I want to change that I can’t. And also a little bit of defiance that I refuse to regret loving someone, no matter who thinks I should. There are so many things in life that we think we have control over that we just don’t. Coming to terms with this and accepting the blows as they come has been quite healing… sometimes we need to fall apart to be put back together again better than before.”

'Out Of My Hands'は、とても簡単に書けて、まるで自分で勝手に生まれてきたように感じられる珍しい曲の一つでした。この曲は、変えたいけれど変えられないことがある、という現実を受け入れたところから生まれました。そして、誰がどう思おうと、誰かを愛したことを後悔したくないという、少しばかりの反抗心も込められています。人生には、自分がコントロールできると思っていても、実際にはそうではないことが数多くあります。この事実を受け入れ、降りかかる困難をありのままに受け入れることは、大きな癒しとなりました…時には、一度壊れてしまうことで、以前よりも良い形で再び組み立て直される必要があるのです。
