ノルウェー/オスロ拠点のオルタナティヴポップアーティスト Coral Headが、5/22にRe:memoryからリリースしたニューシングル 'Too Late to End'を公開！
Coral Headはアーティスト・プロデューサー Embla Alnæs Fimlandによる名義で、昨年6月にデビューEP『Coral Head』を発表。
'Too Late to End'の共同プロデュースは Marius Elfstedt (MIRAR, Mall Girl, tigerstate)が務め、演奏に Kristina Fadeeva, Linnea Vestreが参加。
重厚なリズム隊の上でメランコリックなムードがふんわり漂う幻想的なシネマティック・トリップホップ。特にチェロとハープが素敵で、Portishead, Cigarettes After Sex, Warpaint辺りが好きな人におすすめです。
“'Too Late to End' is about the paradox of realizing that something or someone isn’t good for you, while still being too attached to leave. The dark trip-hop vibe, the escalating cello part and the repetitive bassline all underscore this uneasy feeling, creeping under your skin and slowly building.”
'Too Late to End'は、何かや誰かが自分にとって良くないと気づきながらも、離れられないというパラドックスについての曲です。ダークなトリップホップの雰囲気、徐々に高まるチェロパート、反復するベースラインが、この不穏な感情を際立たせ、じわじわと皮膚の下に忍び寄りながら緊張感を高めていきます。
