イタリア/トレヴィーゾ拠点のポストパンクデュオ Kill Your Boyfriendが、3/14にSister 9 Recordingsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Obsession'のMVを公開！
制作は Alice Lorenzon, Kill Your Boyfriend。
Kill Your Boyfriendは Matteo Scarpa, Antonio Angeliの2人組。
2011年に結成し、これまでに Preoccupations, The KVB, ZU, Zola Jesus, Civil Civic, The Underground Youthなどのサポートを務めてます。
'Obsession'は5/9発売のEP『Disco Kills』収録曲。
シューゲイズ寄りのノイジーなポストパンクからインダストリアルを経て、徐々にエレクトロニック要素を強めていったバンド。今回は2022年のEP『Voodoo』以来となる新曲です。
“'Disco Kills' was created from the band's desire to explore the hopes, obsessions, illusions, and disappointments of the many young people who frequent clubs and meeting places during the so-called "growth" years, at a point when everyone is still searching for their true selves.”
『Disco Kills』は、バンドがクラブや出会いの場に集う多くの若者たちの希望、執着、幻想、そして失望を探求したいという思いから生まれました。いわゆる“成長”の時期、誰もがまだ本当の自分を探している段階での物語です。
