Vau、'Like People'を公開

スウェーデン/マルメ拠点のインディーポップアーティスト Vauが、3/14にリリースしたニューシングル 'Like People'を公開！

Vauはプロデューサー・アーティスト Emilia Carapicによる名義。

近日発売予定のニューアルバム収録曲で、共同プロデュースは Alexander Lindroos, Elias Hellgrenが務め、演奏に Daisy Delén, Tim Wallander, Anton Sundellが参加。

2023年のデビューEP『Don't Cut Bangs』以来となる新曲で、爽やかな疾走感と透き通るようなメロディーが素晴らしいです。

“"Like People" is about that realization that can hit after a breakup – that we’re not so different from other couples after all. That we thought we were something else, that we weren’t like “all the others,” but in the end, we’re just people searching for connection, someone to lean on, someone to celebrate life with. And at the same time, there’s that sense of freedom that can wash over you when you finally let go – laced with fear, with pain, but still real.”

'Like People'は、結局のところ自分たちは他のカップルとそう変わらなかったんだという別れの後にふと気づくことを描いた曲です。自分たちは特別で「よくある関係」とは違うと思っていたけれど、結局はみんな同じで、つながりを求め、寄り添える誰かを探し、一緒に人生を祝いたいだけなんだと。同時に、手放したときに訪れる解放感もあります。それは恐れや痛みを伴いながらも、確かに存在する感覚なのです。
