今回もプロデュース・ミックスに Grizzly Bearの Chris Taylor、ドラムに Phoenixでおなじみの Thomas Hedlundが参加してます。
“Written in the midst of lockdown, this song captures the essence of a suspended daily life—caught between claustrophobia, alienation, and irrational fears. It evokes the unsettling feeling of being trapped with one’s own thoughts, to the point of brushing against a fleeting madness. The song’s protagonist appears to be struggling with his inner double, each feeding the other’s anxieties in the face of an overwhelming situation.”
ロックダウンの最中に書かれたこの曲は、停滞した日常の本質を捉えている—閉塞感、疎外感、そして理不尽な恐怖の狭間で揺れ動く。自らの思考に囚われ、束の間の狂気に触れるような不安な感覚を呼び起こす。曲の主人公は自分自身の分身と葛藤し、互いの不安を増幅させながら圧倒的な状況に立ち向かおうとしているように見える。
