オーストラリア/ニューカッスル拠点のマルチインストゥルメンタリスト Cody Broughmanによるソロプロジェクト underlayが、12/22にNettwerk Music Groupからリリースしたニューシングル 'Family Lines'のリリックビデオを公開！
2/2発売のEP『Sick Like A Kid』収録曲。
これまでに Vacations, Johnny Hunter, Teen Jesus, the Jean Teasersのサポートを務め、Alex Lahey, Vacations, PLGRMSが所属するマネジメント会社 handshake MGMTと契約。その契約と楽曲の強さが評価されてNettwerkのレーベル所属となり、トントン拍子で注目を集める存在となった人です。新曲も前回のシングル 'Haircut'に続いてよかったですね。
“I wrote this song about meeting my partner and the first stages of us knowing each other. We’d both gotten out of pretty serious relationships and it was my first time “dating”, and both of us were trying to keep things casual but knowing full well that we weren’t those types of people. I wanted to write about that Mexican standoff kind of feeling of both of us not wanting to be the first person to crack and admit how we really felt.”
