Fake Turins、'Beatnik'を公開

イングランド/ロンドン拠点のアートロックバンド Fake Turinsが、3/30にHideous Mink Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Beatnik'を公開！

Fake Turinsは Amy Wilson, Jonny Dickens, George Traylen, Nathaniel Knowles, Rosie Wilson, Scott Custis, Dominic Rose, Harry Wrigley, Mars Washington, ‘Mark’, Jess Bernardoの11人組。

2018年に結成し、これまでに Left of the Dial, Manchester Psych Fest, Live At Leeds, Mutations, Rockaway Beachなどのフェスに出演してます。

'Beatnik'は5/9発売のEP『Inheritance』収録曲で、プロデュース・ミックスは Syd Kemp (Sinead O’Brien, Spiritualized, Vanishing Twin)。

6/8のライブで解散するバンドのシングル。いなくなることの寂しさよりも、このバンドに在籍した才能あふれる面々がこれからどんな音楽を届けてくれるのかが楽しみです。ex-Fake Turinsって書く機会が増えそう。

“It contains my manifesto for the project, and for the character I came to inhabit as Dominic Rose. It tells the tale of a false prophet, worshipped in hordes - with violent untenable screed, his mind falls into madness. The outline of this character was drawn in shades of my dad, taking our dream of plight (for humanity, for ourselves..) and seeing how it can easily corrupt human nature.” - Dominic Rose

この曲には、このプロジェクトに対する私のマニフェストと、私がドミニク・ローズとして演じるようになったキャラクターが含まれています。この曲は、大群で崇拝される偽預言者の物語であり、暴力的で説得力のない主張によって、彼の心は狂気へと落ちていく。この人物の輪郭は私の父の影で描かれました。（人類のため、自分自身のため...）窮状という私たちの夢を取り上げ、それがいかに人間の本性を容易に堕落させるかを見ているのです。 - Dominic Rose
