イングランド/エセックス拠点のインディーロックバンド Low Lying Sunが、2/17にLAB RecordsからリリースしたEP『Did You Mean It?』より、'Brother'を公開！
前回のシングル 'Heaven Knows'が素晴らしかったのでチェックしてみたらこんな良い曲もありました。穏やかな始まりから徐々に展開してくのとその長さがちょうどいい。
“With Brother, each verse in the song is a snapshot of a different story. They all share the same theme, where someone is looking at their life and wondering how it could have been different, ending with the phrase “you could have been someone, someone else instead”. However, the song finishes on a more hopeful note, “I’ll dig for you, brother”, and is meant as an offering of help to try and see if things can work out.”
“Brotherでは、曲の各バースが異なるストーリーのスナップショットになっています。それらはすべて同じテーマで、誰かが自分の人生を見て、どうすれば違ったものになったのかと考えているところです。最後は“you could have been someone, someone else instead”というフレーズで終わっています。しかし、この曲の最後は、“I'll dig for you, brother”と、より希望に満ちた内容になっており、物事がうまくいくかどうか試してみようという助け舟のような意味合いを持っています。”
